The process begins with a review of your objectives, color preferences, décor and space’s use. While focusing on how you want to feel in your space our goal is always creating the ultimate in beauty and function by working with the light in your space and the surrounding colors.

Whether your home is in the planning stage, already built or lived in for years, our services include paint color advice for any kind of surface or substrate whether you are choosing exterior house paint colors or interior paint colors.

Together, engaged in a highly collaborative process with Amy’s guidance and your input we will develop a color palette for your property that achieves all of your goals.

You will be supplied with a paint color schedule which outlines paint brand, line, color and finish (sheen). A detailed color map can be supplied when needed for projects which involve complicated color placement.

Virtual Color Consultations:

Available nationally, online remote paint color consultations are available for “long distance” clients. If you’re looking for a “paint color consultant near me”, look no further. We have perfected our own methodology for understanding the colors and light which exists in your location, even though we will be remote. Through the exchange of photographs, floor plans and more, Amy will develop a color plan for your property which creates the look, feel and ambience that fits your lifestyle. Large color swatches will be shipped to you. 

Kitchen & Bath Material and Finish Selection & Interior Styling:

If your needs extend beyond paint color, we assist with kitchen and bath material and finish selection including tiles, backsplashes, countertops, plumbing fixtures, flooring, cabinet or vanity color (and style), hardware and lighting. We can source the perfect wallpaper to suit your home and the vibe you want to create. Paint colors are inexorably tied to the colors used throughout your home. We also offer advice on many aspects of interior styling including furnishings, textiles, artwork, rugs, flooring and light fixtures. But it all starts with color.

Commercial Color Consulting:

Testing Colors:

We strongly recommend you view the final paint color selections during different times of day before making your final choice as light conditions greatly affect the appearance of colors.

Large color swatches will be sent directly to you from my trade resources. Sizes vary based on brand.  This service is included in the cost of your consultation when available from the paint brand. 

Fees:

Fees are calculated on an hourly basis giving clients the flexibility to control the scope of the collaboration. There is a 3 hr. minimum charge for on-site consultations and 3hr – 4 hr. minimum for virtual, depending on the scale of the project. Please inquire about rates. Travel charges apply to locations outside of a 45 minute driving radius from Ghent, New York. Payment is required up front for the minimum hourly booking to hold your virtual or on-site appointment.
